  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Use soy sauce for halal version
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 cup Stock Chicken or seafood, vegetable stock is a lighter option
For Serving
  • to taste Hot Sauce Customize to preference
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley Chopped for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and celery; sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Stir in tomato paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes until darkened. Add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, black pepper, and stock.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer for 3-5 minutes to meld flavors.
  5. In a separate skillet, sear the marinated shrimp over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  6. Transfer shrimp to the sauce and simmer together for 1-2 minutes. Serve hot over rice or grits, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
