Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water, 2 tablespoons of active dry yeast, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir gently, let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ¼ cup of vegetable oil. Add the yeast mixture, 2 beaten eggs, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until it has doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide it into 8 portions, and shape each into a ball. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover the dish with a cloth and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush the tops with a mixture of 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of water. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm.
