Cooking Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix the thinly sliced chicken with a splash of Worcestershire sauce and olive oil, seasoning generously with salt and pepper. Let this marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a blend of butter and oil. Once shimmering, toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté for 6-8 minutes until softened and caramelized. Add minced garlic for the last 30 seconds.
- In the same skillet, increase the heat to high, and add the marinated chicken in a single layer. Sear until browned on one side, then stir occasionally for 3-4 minutes until fully cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, return sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the cooked chicken, and place slices of provolone cheese on top. Cover for 30-60 seconds to melt the cheese.
- Spread optional garlic mayo or butter on hoagie rolls. Scoop generous portions of the chicken and vegetable mixture into the rolls, serve hot and enjoy!
