Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, blend pumpkin puree, sour cream, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-28 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  7. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir until golden brown. Whisk in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth for frosting.
  8. Once cooled, frost the bars evenly and let set before slicing into squares.
