  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs for added flavor.

  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped Shallots can be a great substitute for a milder flavor.
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper, diced Red or yellow bell pepper can be used for a sweeter touch.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Increase the amount for a more pronounced flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Fresh oregano makes a wonderful swap if available.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated Pecorino Romano is a fantastic alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Parsley, chopped Basil can also add a unique flavor profile.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Lime juice works as an excellent substitute.
  • to taste Salt Season to your taste for the perfect balance.

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil You can skip it if preferred.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter until bubbly. Add onions, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the breadcrumbs and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until toasted.
  4. Remove from heat, combine with oregano, Parmesan, parsley, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Butterfly the shrimp by slicing the outer curve without cutting all the way through.
  6. Spoon the stuffing onto the butterflied shrimp and arrange in a single layer in a baking dish.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil before baking.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until shrimp turn pink and stuffing is golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
