Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey) with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the seasonings are evenly distributed into the meat.
- Transfer the seasoned meat into your crockpot and set it to high. Brown the meat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until it’s nicely cooked through and no longer pink.
- Add elbow macaroni, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili with beans, beef broth, and chili seasoning to the crockpot. Stir everything together.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat. Allow the mixture to cook for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
- In the last 15 minutes of cooking, open the lid and incorporate the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese into the mix.
- Once the cheeses are fully melted and blended, serve hot right from the crockpot.
