Preparation Steps

  2. Using a sharp knife, cut the squid into strips about 1-inch wide, keeping the tentacles intact.
  3. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. Combine the cleaned squid with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Toss everything gently to ensure even coating.
  6. Heat a cast iron grill or griddle over high heat for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Carefully place the prepared squid onto the hot grill and grill for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Flip halfway through cooking to ensure both sides develop a rich flavor.
  9. Mix minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, and breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.
  10. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the grilled squid and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
