- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt 1/4 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Stir in 1 cup of freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- Combine the cheese mixture with 3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and press it down evenly.
- Score the surface into square or rectangular shapes using a sharp knife.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until light golden color.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then break apart along the scored lines.
