Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1/4 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  3. Stir in 1 cup of freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Combine the cheese mixture with 3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and press it down evenly.
  6. Score the surface into square or rectangular shapes using a sharp knife.
  7. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until light golden color.
  8. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then break apart along the scored lines.
  9. Store in an airtight container.
