For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Stick to unsalted for better control of seasoning.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • to taste Fresh Parsley (optional) For garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 6-7 minutes each side until cooked through.
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, stir in Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika, then add heavy cream and chicken broth, simmer until thickened.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Add drained pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat with sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Plate and garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan before serving.
