Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  3. Toss in chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  4. Spread the browned beef mixture evenly across the greased baking dish.
  5. Layer the thinly sliced potatoes over the beef, season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese, pour beef broth around the edges, drizzle with milk if desired.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden and potatoes are tender.
