For the Flatbreads
  • 4 pieces Flatbreads or Naan Pita bread can also work.

For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Tarragon
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Cheddar or a cheese blend can also work.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Cloves Garlic powder is a handy alternative.
  • 1 cup Red Bell Pepper You can mix it up with other veggies you love.
  • 1 medium Red Onion Shallots offer a milder flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Substitute with parsley if preferred.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional for those who like it spicy.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Nutritional yeast works for a dairy-free option.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Prepare the Chicken: If using raw chicken breasts, preheat a skillet over medium heat. Coat the chicken lightly with olive oil, season with oregano, tarragon, and salt. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mix Chicken with BBQ Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken with BBQ sauce, ensuring it's well-coated. Optionally add minced garlic.
  3. Assemble the Flatbreads: Spread BBQ chicken mixture over flatbreads. Top with garlic, mozzarella, bell pepper, and onion.
  4. Bake the Flatbreads: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake assembled flatbreads for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Finish and Serve: Let cool for a minute, top with cilantro, slice, and serve warm.
